The only thing you need to download is Stack. It reads my-project.cabal and stack.yaml to link in third party code. Intero has a smooth experience when working with Stack. It provides an alternative (IMO, a better) way of writing cabal files using yaml file which is more widely used in the industry. It also supports your own custom templates. There’s an executable called cabal too, but we are going to use stack instead. Stack supports creating projects using templates. You’ll have a file called my-project.cabal with information about your project. It takes Haskell source code and turns it into an executable.Ĭabal is the package description format.
